“We are proud to partner again with the AAEP Foundation to offer this opportunity benefiting new equine veterinarians,” said Jeannie Jeffery, Zoetis equine business unit head. “We are thankful for yet another chance to showcase Zoetis’ ongoing commitment to horse health and to the veterinary profession.”

In addition to the financial award, each recipient will receive complimentary registration and a travel stipend to attend the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) 65th Annual Convention in Denver, Colo., Dec. 7–11. The awards will be presented prior to the Frank J. Milne State-of-the-Art Lecture on Dec. 9.

The Zoetis/AAEP Foundation scholarship is open to fourth-year veterinary students pursuing a career in equine medicine and active within any of the AAEP’s 39 student chapters at colleges of veterinary medicine in the U.S., Canada, Europe and the Caribbean. Scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence, leadership and a commitment to equine veterinary medicine. Applicants must also have the support of AAEP members and their clinical instructors.
