Be a Connector for the Horse
Help us build
relationships that
move our mission forward.

Improving the welfare of horses
What Does it Mean
to be a Connector?
Connecting with and for us amplifies our collective ability to transform the lives of horses.
As a dedicated member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), you already champion the health and well-being of horses. The Foundation for the Horse extends that passion by funding vital Education, Research, and support for Horses at Risk. Your network holds the key to greater impact. By connecting The Foundation with your clients, friends, and colleagues—especially those with a propensity and capacity to give—you can help secure the future of equine health.
The Foundation has developed a suite of resources designed to make collaboration easy and effective. We are here to help you engage with your community. Let us know what you need, and we’ll equip you with everything required to elevate the mission in your area.

Be a Connector
Connect Us with Key Clients
Meet privately with a Foundation team member to plan strategic introductions to selected clients — whether over coffee, lunch, or during a farm or ranch visit with your permission.
Host a Local Reception
Collaborate with our team to create a casual, welcoming event at your clinic, home, or barn to introduce your network to The Foundation. No fundraising, just connection.
Bring Us Your Event Idea
Host a fundraising event — or designate The Foundation as a beneficiary of an event you’re already part of. Our team will help you plan meaningful impact.
Partner on Client Mailings
Share a personalized message of support. We’ll work with you to send a curated information package and branded items to a select group of your contacts, along with your custom letter.
Host or Sponsor a Show
If you know of an equine show or event that would benefit from our presence or sponsorship, let us know. We’d love to explore a partnership that supports our mission.

Starter Programs
Memorial Program
When a patient is euthanized, your clinic makes a $25 gift in their memory. The Foundation sends the client a beautiful, caring sympathy card acknowledging your gift (no amount disclosed), showing your compassion during a difficult time.
Calendar Program
Give your clients a beautiful, useful, and practice-brandable AAEP Equine Wellness Calendar as a year-end gift. Partial proceeds support The Foundation, keeping you top-of-mind all year.
My Mentor Program
Honor your mentor by directing giving toward their recognition on the My Mentor Honor Wall. This is a fantastic way to engage their colleagues, friends, and family with The Foundation.
Endow a Named Award
Discuss establishing a funded award (scholarship, research grant, etc.) in your name, your clinic’s name, or in honor of someone important to you. Your clients may also be seeking a purposeful way to give back — including naming a gift in honor of someone important to them or a horse they cherish.
